Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Nivora’s features, security, offline usage, and pricing.
What is Nivora and who is it for?
Nivora is an all-in-one life and money management app. It combines personal budgeting, small business multi-book accounting, customer/friend khata ledgers, to-do planners, and notes into one cohesive, offline-first application.
Is Nivora free to use?
Yes! Nivora provides a generous free tier that includes multi-book tracking, khata ledgers, receipt attachments, recurring bills, and the task planner. New signups automatically receive a 1-month Premium trial.
What does "multi-book" mean?
Multi-book allows you to maintain completely independent ledgers under one login. For example, you can have a "Personal" book for household spending and a "Shop" book for small-business accounts, each with its own categories and currency.
How does the khata / people ledger work?
You can create contacts and record four simple transaction directions: Lend (you gave money), Borrow (you received money), and Pay/Receive to settle debts. You can also view running balances and generate itemized PDF or WhatsApp statements.
Can I use Nivora offline?
Yes. Both our Android app and web application cache data locally so you can log transactions, check tasks, and take notes even without an active internet connection. Everything syncs automatically once reconnected.
Is my financial data sold or used for ads?
Never. We do not sell user data, run third-party advertising trackers, or profile your spending habits. Your financial transactions and notes are strictly private.
Can I export my data if I want to leave?
Yes. You can export your full data archive as JSON or download transaction spreadsheets as Excel (.xlsx) files at any time with one click in Settings.
